Circa (1420) this beautiful 15th Century pub is simply oozing with atmosphere and history wherein everything around you is calmly reflecting its 591 years of people, families local events and indeed time itself has quietly painted the scene. The flagstones stand firm and lay proudly in place in true character boldly there for centuries past and even their scars although polished by wear very obviously support the journey and bare witness to the warm and memorable creation of our history.
Today of course the sumptuous surroundings are realigned with the essential modern comforts and all without any obvious impact on the age, character and time of this place and clearly to all the true heart of this wonderful village pub, local beer , cider and the mighty cheddar cheese are all on hand to help you enjoy the pub whilst in the adjoining corners, spaces and comfy locations they have been carefully adorned by local artists young and old from the local OBA ( Old bakery Arts group ).
